Fuck, I just heard about Harold Ramis dying, I’m honestly crying a bit over this. Egon was my childhood idol, and I would spend countless hours upon hours playing Ghostbusters with my brother, always as Egon. Its strange how much this is affecting me, celebrity deaths have never caused too much of a reaction from me. Some can sadden or shock me, like say James Gandolfini or Philip Seymour Hoffman’s deaths, but this feels very personally emotional. God Speed Spengler.

"I don’t like mecha" is the anime version of "everything but rap and country".
THIS. And I hate it.
The worst was when a friend of mine said he couldn’t suspend disbelief enough to watch it but stuff with vampires or wizards in it is okay?
I mean it’s fine if you don’t like it but don’t say it’s silly or ridiculous when you’re into fantasy as a genre, WTF
Guessing you mean me, though to be fair I don’t think I listed that as a reason for not watching it, just that I think I was saying something about “What’s the point of bi-pedal robots, that doesn’t seem very practical when you think about it” as like a specific comment. This was years ago though so I might not be remembering this clearly. You made a post kind of saying the same thing recently anyway about live action mecha.Source: the-mysterious-gourmet

And of course the only real reason I’m afraid is because I don’t want people to know I am into anime. Even though it’s almost all old anime… I could probably play the nostalgia card but, you know, that may not even work.
Seriously, I haven’t found a cool way to like anime yet, pretty sure one doesn’t exist

The surgery went OK, though I apparently still have a gallstone that got stuck in a duct or something (was still kind of out of it when the doctor was explaining things to me and I don’t think I got all the details…) and for some reason it looks like I’ll have to be transferred to another hospital to get that dealt with, not sure if that means another surgery or what. Gaaaah.
